Here’s our policy updates that go into effect in January 2019.
Thanks to our loyalty pricing (not yet available in all areas), you can now sign a 3 year agreement for services and skip the “connection fee” (the fee formerly known as the really expensive construction fee). There is, however, a one-time $35 activation fee to get you going.
Last year, we implemented a late fee policy. You can read about this policy change and others here – 2018 Policy Changes. Over this past year, we’ve learned that while the policy is working, it’s not fun to manage. So we’re making it a bit simpler. The new late fee will be $5.00 or 1.5% of the
amount past due, whichever is greater, every month. Here’s our updated late fee policy.
No Deposit. Just Pay Your Bill, Please.
Some service providers collect a deposit and then may or may not actually give you the money back. Ahem, City of Lawrence Water Department…yeah, you might want to request your money back. We still don’t want to collect deposits, though. Instead, we choose to trust our neighbors. And 99%+ have proven that in fact their word is good enough.
Unfortunately, we had a few folks that never paid us for all the hard work, awesome internet and they never returned the equipment either. We understand that life can throw curveballs, so we made multiple attempts to work something out with them, but had no response. Bye, Patricia.
So here’s the new rule: You must pay the first invoice when scheduling service installation/activation.
